So according to what evolution myth acceptors tell me, birds have not evolved further than archaeopteryx?
They keep telling me, “evolution is not a ladder” and “there is no such thing as being more or less evolved” but apparently, archaeopteryx is the ancestor of all birds. So if you take the example of the evolutionary tree they keep mentioning, then all modern birds branch off from archaeopteryx so modern birds have to be more evolved than archaeopteryx! Do these people not understand simple logic as well as the myths they’ve been made to believe about evolution?

Archaeopteryx was - like you say - the *ancestor* of modern birds.
(well - that's actually open to debate, but that doesn't matter)
It was perfectly well-evolved to its environment (it wouldn't have survived otherwise), and it is likely that no modern bird could have survived back then: the environment was quite different, after all (different predators, different prey, etc.)
But archaeopteryx doesn't exist *now* - so by that criterion it is "less evolved" than modern birds (which have had an extra 150 million years to evolve).
