Oblong Toilet Lid Cover

What to do about stains/discoloration to plastic toilet seat?

We live in a rental home. The guest bathroom has an outdated oblong toilet seat with a plastic cover and lid. They apparently don't make these anymore. The color is a beige and under the toilet lid is an orangish type stain that won't come off.

The whole toilet can't be replaced (we don't own it, and the landlord won't replace it)....

Is there any type of either cleaning solution or even paint to cover it that would work?
