What the hell makes someone think its ok to pee or deficate on a public toilet seat?

when I come across this I use the toe of my boot to lift it anyway. The thought of someone walking in after me thinking I did it horrifies me.

It can be any number of reasons for people to be unsanitary. Inebriation, laziness, poor coordination, and toilet water/feces phobia. Someone close to me once said that squatting on the toilet seat help to alleviate his fear of toilet water touching him. People are just unsanitary, and even with all of the viruses going around, there is still a large percentage of people who don't was their hands after using the restroom.
