I need help about pointe shoes?
My name is Meguime my little who is 16 sister Katie want to dress up as princess Tutu, and she went out and buy pointe shoes with her size and everything as I walk in on her putting them on. I told her to take them off because she wasn't ready to wear them yet because she hadn't taking ballet for years and I had so I take her shoes away from her and give her my slipper ballet shoes instead cause we wear the same size of shoes with it crazy for us. Plus I told our mother what had happened and she say let my little sister wear it like it going to hurt her so I told my mother no because Katie really hurt herself if she wear. What should I do?
I don't think your little sister is likely to come to too much harm by just wearing them to a fancy dress party or for dressing up. If she were doing ballet classes and wearing them there, trying to do more advanced dancing, then yes, she might injure herself.
But chances are she won't know enough ballet steps yet to get into any serious trouble and even if she does try something out, she'll probably just fall over and not do too much damage.
I suggest that if you decide to let her play in them, don't give her any packing to put in them, and don't tell her that's what you use. In other words, if she finds out how uncomfortable they feel, that will put her off.
